TADS (Telecom Application Developer Summit) is the ONLY GLOBAL MEETING place for Developers who want to learn, share, code and create with the latest technologies in free and open source software, telecom APIs, unique telecom platforms, and WebRTC.

TADS is for Telcos wanting to discover new services and to understand how to work with telecom app developers to bring successful innovations to market. The global market for telecom network API is estimated to be as much as $157 billion by 2018, (source: Mind Commerce).

TADS is a grassroots initiative from the people building this industry, Developers and Telcos can together create a sustainable and profitable telecom application ecosystem. Come join TADS and make a difference in our industry.

Some examples include Developers building communications apps:

  • On their own platform built from open source projects, like Mobicents
  • On a third party’s communications platform, like Tropo and Apidaze
  • Directly for the telco’s network on platforms, like OpenCloud, Mobicents, and Tropo

All three developer categories are building applications from business basics such as call centers and interactive voice response systems; through powerful communication enabled business processes and marketing campaign systems; to cutting edge embedded video communications and integrating all your communications into your preferred social networking tool.

TADS takes place on 21 & 22 Nov 2013 at the IMPACT Forum in Bangkok with Opening & Closing Plenary Sessions and two parallel events – in the same week as ITU World with expected attendance of 7,000 participants.

Developer Summit

  • All presentations will include live coding demonstrations
  • Presenters will live with a command line console on their laptop, showing telecom applications being created using free and open source software, WebRTC, APIs, and more

Telco Summit

  • Focus on creating a sustainable telecom application ecosystem and profitable business models for the service provider industry
  • Presentations and panel sessions will be open and frank to build mutual trust and understanding across the ecosystem

Why Bangkok? Asia is the center of Telecom Application Developer success: with content and payment service success in China, India, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Singapore; and self-built call centers running on free and open source software throughout China, Indonesia, and India. By 2018 Asia will account for over 40% of global Telecom Application revenues (source: Alan Quayle).
